    My father had an American Flyer Service Station
    where AF trains were serviced.
    Genuine AF parts were used,
    these being made by A.C. Gilbert Co.
    This engine shell has no date stamped inside,
    so it probably was from a Service Station,
    which was typical for the time.
    It was stored well and looks new!
